What You'll Be Doing

🛠️ Technical Execution

  • Design and deliver industrial control systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA/HMI)
  • Program and integrate with Allen Bradley PLCs, Ignition SCADA, and legacy Wonderware Archestra systems
  • Develop network architectures, instrumentation, and electrical schematics
  • Support system installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Migrate legacy systems to modern Ignition Vision platforms
  • Maintain internal standards and documentation processes

📊 Project Engagement

  • Provide estimates, updates, and flag technical risks
  • Participate in team standups, client meetings, and project reviews
  • Align development with evolving scopes and technical feasibility

🤝 Business & Collaboration

  • Build strong client relationships throughout project delivery
  • Support technical proposal writing and scope estimation
  • Collaborate across local and remote engineering teams
  • Deliver post-deployment support and training for Ignition systems

Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in control systems design, SCADA/HMI programming, and commissioning
  • Strong experience with:
    • Ignition SCADA
    • Allen Bradley PLCs
    • Wonderware Archestra
    • Industrial schematics (I/O lists, panel layouts, P&IDs)
  • Familiarity with Ladder Logic, SFC, Structured Text, Function Block
  • Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, C++, or .NET
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint)

Nice to Have

  • Modbus, Red Lion, or Emerson ROC/ABB Totalflow hardware
  • Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) or ISA S88
  • Experience with network design, virtualized environments, or edge computing
